Hello. I am Thomas Cheah, the Principal CTO On Demand of Procto. I am an experienced senior technologist who has strong business sense and entrepreneur spirit. I am able to listen, analyze, enlighten and communicate technical value to partners, customers, management, to use technology to solve business problem, and grow business.
Since 1993, I have been helping companies in strategic business technology management by implementing practical technologies that are aligned with their business goals. I am currently also the Chief Technology Officer of Objective World, an MSC Malaysia Status company specializing in R&D of software products for visualization, documentation, and simulation of building over the complete project lifecycle using its Intelligent Building Information Model. Previously, I have applied my technology and business expertise to start-up a computer game company, which successfully secured an initial start-up funding to develop a unique game idea into a playable demo. During 2003, I was invited as a visiting researcher to IBM Research Lab, India, for a six months special research project that involved R&D of intelligent cardio monitoring software on an embedded device with limited computational power.
I have been frequently invited to industry workshops for sharing my insights and experience in bridging business and technology. I have also written and published several papers that were accepted in local and international conferences. I believe that constant business innovation is increasingly important in today’s business environment so that our business is prepare for rising cost and globalization in order to stay ahead (or away) of competition. Throughout my career, I have often been regarded as a person with great acumen in understanding business and technologies, self-motivated, self-learner, result oriented, diligent, and capable of delivering result in demanding time frames. What are my specialties?
In general, technology can be used horizontally to benefit people at different industries. The following are among the core industries that I have served to date:

I have implemented a wide variety of technologies to date. The following are the enterprise technologies that I am best at. They are usually applicable to different industries though careful selection is required as every business is unique even if they are in the same industry:
